Lecture

Lecture
lecture
lecture
when will the test be
I just wish you'd stop lecturing me

Facts about things I don't need to know
facts about places I'll never go
facts until I'm about to blow

lecture
lecture
lecture
when will the test be
I just wish you'd stop lecturing me

open-mindedness has been overridden
misinformed tidbits form your opinions
lecturing me is then your big decision

lecture
lecture
lecture
when will the test be
I just with you'd stop lecturing me

Ramblings On A Sunday

lost on the side of wishful thinking
gathering within the dust of loss
thoughts slowly begin to drift in

I often question my honor
question my motives
question why it is I who is here

rise to the occasion
rise to your purpose
rise and be met with opposition

shout it to the rooftops
shout it out to all nations
shout it in silence

one for the road
one is too many
one more is never enough

enough said

Day's End

Inhale slowly.
Silently.
Let no one know you're listening.
Hide amongst the shadows,
in the corners,
in the edges of nowhere,
in the spaces between now and then.

Exhale rapidly,
as if all is riding on your last breath,
as if all is waiting on your last breath.
Let no one see you crying.
LET NO ONE SEE YOU CRYING!

Inhale slowly.
Silently.
Let no one know you're leaving.
Your absence will alarm them.
Hide amongst the dust clouds,
that gather in emptiness,
that dance in the sunset,
that settle on the remains of the day.
